Technology, Public Policy and Sustainability Research Cluster

Emerging technologies in biology, artificial intelligence, virtual reality,

information technology, and many other fields, have the potential to

rapidly disrupt the status quo and dramatically transform life,

business, and the global economy. These new technologies hold

amazing potential benefits but also pose significant risks. In this

context, it becomes essential to assess the role of these technologies

on society and their links with sustainable development, and

elaborate possible guidelines for policy action, especially in the

context of economic and social recovery from COVID-19 pandemic

situation.

This project is dedicated to the study of the role of technologies,

possibly disruption, and other innovations on society and business,

exploring possible links with sustainable development. The main

objective is to inform feasible and desirable policy formulation

aiming for sustainable development .

This cluster will investigate and assess the impact of disruptive

technologies on society, and its links with sustainable development.

More precisely, the cluster aims to discuss three main subprojects

and themes.
